The Lemon Boy tomato is an indeterminate hybrid variety producing large, bright lemon-yellow fruit. Grown at Semis de la Seigneurie, this popular tomato offers a sweet, slightly acidic, and very refreshing flavor. Fruits weigh 150-200 g, with juicy, low-acid flesh. Abundant and consistent production throughout the summer. Excellent disease resistance.

Indoor sowing:

  • Start 6-8 weeks before the last frost (early April)
  • Germination temperature: 20-25°C
  • Germination: 5-10 days
  • Depth: 0.5 cm
  • Bright light is needed from germination onwards.

Transplantation:

  • After all risk of frost (early June in Quebec)
  • Spacing: 60-90 cm between plants
  • Rich, well-drained soil, pH 6.0-6.8
  • Exposure: full sun (minimum 8 hours)
  • Bury the stem up to the first leaves (additional roots).

Interview :

  • Sturdy support required (cage or support 180 cm+)
  • Prune suckers regularly (optimal production).
  • Water regularly and consistently (avoid irregularities)
  • Fertilize every 2-3 weeks (tomato fertilizer)
