The Nantes carrot is a heritage variety producing uniform, cylindrical roots 15-18 cm long. Grown at Semis de la Seigneurie, this classic French carrot offers an exceptionally mild and sweet flavor with a crisp texture. It has a small core, bright orange flesh, and a rounded tip. Excellent for heavy, clay soils. A reliable and productive variety.

Culture in Quebec (zone 4b and above)
Sow directly in the garden as soon as the soil is workable (late April-May) until mid-July for successive harvests. Loose, deep soil is recommended. Thin to 5 cm for uniform roots. An excellent autumn crop; flavor is improved after light frosts!
