Culture in Quebec (zone 4b and above)

Oregano is a plant that loves sun and well-drained soil. Start your seedlings indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost (March–April) or sow directly outdoors when the soil has warmed up ( May–June ). Transplant into the garden after the last frost. In zone 4b, oregano is often grown as an annual , but it can sometimes survive the winter with good protection (mulch) and a sheltered location.
Producer's advice
💚 Full sun = maximum aroma
🌿 Well-drained soil (avoid heavy and waterlogged soils)
💧 Moderate watering (tolerates drought well once established)
✂️ Prune/harvest often for a denser plant
🌸 Letting it flower a little attracts pollinators (and it's very beautiful)
