🌱 Season 2025: What we learned (and what's coming in 2026)
The Seedlings of the Lordship
Each season brings its own set of lessons.
And 2025, for Les Semis de la Seigneurie , was not a year of "more" — but a year of better .
No more events. No more volume at any cost.
Rather a foundational season, which helped to clarify the identity of the project, to better understand the gardeners, and to lay solid foundations for 2026.
🌿 2025 Season: Consolidate before accelerating
In 2025, a deliberate choice was made: to slow down .
Not for lack of ambition — but to build something solid, coherent and useful for the gardeners here.
With two seeding events (spring and autumn), the goal was not to be everywhere, but to observe and listen.
These meetings led to a better understanding:
- What gardeners are really looking for (and what holds them back)
- which formats make buying easier
- What questions keep coming up — and how can we answer them more clearly?
👉 On the ground, you quickly see what is clear… and what is not.
🌱 A more assertive identity: seed producer and horticultural producer
2025 also helped to clarify our role.
Today, Les Semis de la Seigneurie is:
- 🌿 Seeds selected and tested here , in zone 4b
- 🌱 🌱 plants that remain an essential component of the business , season after season
- 💬 a firm commitment to better explain, contextualize and support
In other words: not just selling a packet or a plant, but helping to make better choices — especially when starting out.
💡 What 2025 confirmed (unambiguously)
Some things simply happened naturally:
- The Econo-Semis meet a real need: simple, accessible, without complicating life
- Transparency is reassuring : when things are clear, we buy with confidence.
- Gardeners want to understand before they buy : the why is just as important as the what
- Curiosity works… when it's well accompanied
👉 Doing less, but better, is an approach we wish to maintain.
🚀 Season 2026: a thoughtful continuation (not a break)
The 2026 season follows the same path, with an even clearer direction.
What's coming next:
- 🌱 Better aligned 2026 collections
- 📦 Clearer and more assertive formats
- 🌿 enhanced consistency between seeds and plants
- 🗺️ Increased presence at events outside the region , to meet new gardeners and continue learning
The objective remains the same:
👉 offer products that are understandable, climate-appropriate and honest.
🌍 More space, more interaction
Building on the lessons learned in 2025, Les Semis de la Seigneurie will expand their presence in 2026, particularly outside the region.
Not to be everywhere, but to:
- to spread the approach elsewhere
- continue learning
- to nurture the project's evolution through contact with diverse realities
